Moreover, it is done in terrible conditions. And the impact of this "surgical intervention" on the life of a woman is simply terrible. So what is female circumcision? Information that will allow many to understand that we are fantastically lucky to be born in a normal society!

What is female circumcision? Two interpretations of the term

In most countries of the world under female circumcisionunderstand a completely innocuous procedure for health, which, in principle, is designed to remove cosmetic defects of the genital organs. For example, the removal of excess tissue of the labia minora. Sometimes the mucous hood is also excised, which covers the clitoris.

But! In 28 countries all is far from the case! There are completely different operations. So, female circumcision! Why do it, for example, in Africa? And what is pharaoh circumcision, as well as sunna and excision?

To begin with, there are three optionscircumcision for women. First: only the skin folds surrounding the clitoris are excised, that is, it is constantly open and, therefore, more sensitive. It is called sunny.

The second way: the clitoris and small labia are completely removed. This procedure is called excision or clitorolectomy. Clearly, after such an intervention, a full sexual life for a woman is under big question. That is, it will be a matrimonial duty, but in no way an opportunity to have fun!

And, finally, the third option. That is pharaonic circumcision. It's still worse here. After removing the labia minora and clitoris, the large lips are sewn together so that the hole remains minimal. By the way, fabrics can be sewn so that intimacy is impossible in principle. If the decision is made that it is necessary to allow the girl to fulfill the conjugal duty and the birth of children, the opening widens (again, surgically).

Now it becomes clearer what a woman is likecircumcision. But that is not all! It turns out that these manipulations are carried out with girls who are about 5 years old. None of the sterility and use of special tools (as well as anesthesia) in a number of cases is out of the question. As a tool can be used that it seems more convenient: scissors, glass, a knife.

Why conduct female circumcision?

The answer to this question from the point of view of anysane person is just murderous! It is believed that excision and pharaoh circumcision guarantee that the woman will be faithful to her husband and not become a maid of easy virtue. Accordingly, a girl who was not circumcised in childhood can not become a wife of a worthy person. She is by definition a prostitute.

Is this still practiced?

Unfortunately yes! For example, in the UK such a procedure was prohibited by law only in 1985.
