Group "Flowers": the 20th and 21st century

Stas Namin and the group "Flowers" were popular withlisteners in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. This is the group with which "domestic non-format" began. "Flowers" were among the first to perform rock music on the domestic stage.

The real name of the musician is Anastas Mikoyan. Namin is a pseudonym that was formed on behalf of his mother by Us. He was born in 1951. Stas' father was a military pilot, his mother a musicologist. The artist's childhood was spent on trips to garrisons.

The mother was educating the boy. She introduced him to music and literature. In their house were often M. Rostropovich, D. Shostakovich, A. Khachaturyan, G. Sviridov, A. Schnittke and others. The first teacher of Stas on pianoforte and harmony was A. Babadzhanyan. At the insistence of his father, the boy continued his family tradition and graduated from the Suvorov Military School. It was there that he became acquainted with rock music. In 1964, at the school, he created his first group.

Stas Namin is a multi-faceted personality, he not onlymusician, but also a producer, photographer, composer, director, artist. He was glorified by the group "Flowers" organized by him. In addition, he is the creator of the very first producer center in our country. Thanks to him, many performers became famous.

The very first music festivals in Russiato conduct Stas Namin. He organized private entreprises, design studio, concert and sports agency, TV company, radio station, clubs, restaurants, record company, trading company, publishing house, laboratory of lamp technologies, educational projects. And also the country's first theater of musicals. Stas writes music for theater productions and movies, presents his art projects in museums and galleries. He conducts experiments with writing ethnic and symphonic music, participates in expeditions and festivals of aeronautics in his own balloon.

The group "Flowers" was created by Stas Namin in 1969year. At that time he was a student of the 1st year of the Institute of Foreign Languages. At first the group performed at school and student evenings. The repertoire consisted of foreign compositions. The first own songs of the group "Flowers" are "There are eyes at the flowers", "My star" and "Do not." In 1973 they were recorded and put on the market. Unexpectedly, for all the records of "Flowers" sold seven million copies. In 1974 the group was invited to perform from the Moscow Philharmonic. "Flowers" went on tour, they gave 3 concerts a day. The Philharmonia earned a lot of money from the band. Due to too much work between the musicians and the administration there was a conflict. In 1975, "Flowers" were accused of propagating Western ideology and banned by the Ministry of Culture. Contrary to this in 1976, Stas Namin managed to reassemble the group. In 1986 the world tour of "Flowers" was held. After him, the group's activity was suspended for 10 years.

In 1999 the group "Flowers" was again collected by herleader and creator S. Namin. Two years later the musicians gave a concert in honor of their 30th birthday. Participated in it artists of the current staff and those who worked in the ensemble before. In 2009, the group "Flowers" celebrated 40 years of its existence. To this event the musicians timed the recording of the album "Back to the USSR", which included the best songs. A year later, in honor of the 40th anniversary, a concert of the group was organized. After that, several more albums were released. Songs of the group "Flowers" are known and loved by listeners of different generations. In 2014, concerts were held in Moscow dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the ensemble. After that, "Flowers" went on a world tour.

Alexander Nikolayevich - the most famous soloistgroup "Flowers". He sang the most popular songs of the ensemble: "There are eyes at the flowers", "We wish you happiness", "My clear star", "Lullaby" and so on. He was the soloist of several VIA, but it was the group "Flowers" that made him famous. When the ensemble for 10 years ceased to exist, Alexander worked in an auto repair shop. In addition, in the 90 years the artist died parents. And then from the sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 18 the only son who was the soloist of the dance ensemble of I. Moiseev died. Then Stas Namin again invited him to work when he revived the "Flowers". In 2003, the artist transferred an operation to remove a cancerous tumor. Alexander died of a heart attack in 2004.
