Than to open a doc-file?

Than to open a doc-file? This question is asked by many newcomers. Currently, many programs are created to work with this format. Today I will briefly describe the possibilities of some of them.

Google Docs

program for doc files
If you do not want to download your computeradditional software, and working with text documents is extremely rare, then the best option for you will be only one: create and edit a doc-file using online services, one of which is Google Docs. The interface of this site is simple and understandable. The only condition after which you can use it, is the registration of an account with Google.

Microsoft Word 2007

doc file
In Microsoft Word 2003, you create andonly documents with this extension are edited, which prompted Microsoft to release new versions of it - Microsoft Word 2007 and 2010. Since I had to work only with the 2007 edition, I will describe it exactly. So, in the program Vord-2007 you can create and edit ".rtf-", ".odt-", ".docx-" and doc-files. With her help, any newcomer to computer science can not only write beautiful and full text, but also add tables, diagrams, drawings and special inscriptions to it. A special feature of this program is a simple interface that allows you to quickly find exactly what you need, using tabs.

OpenOffice

If you do not want to install a paid packageprograms "Microsoft Office", then the solution will be its free analog - the assembly of OpenOffice. The interface and work in a text editor from it is no different from Microsoft Word 2007.

Word Viewer

This is a program for reading doc-files. You can use it to view them, as well as copy and paste texts from files with the extension ".doc" to other documents. These features make up a complete list of all available functions in Word Viewer. Its huge disadvantage is the lack of the right to edit the doc-file.

AbiWord

This program is also free. In it, you can open and modify any doc-file. But still there are not many functions that are present in the text editor from the OpenOffice package.

LibreOffice

program for reading doc files
If your computer is running Linux, thenit's not scary - in text editors designed for it, you can also open any doc-file. The only condition is the presence on the PC of a free program called Wine. It is a kind of "communicator" between two "countries" - Windows and Linux. The analogue of Microsoft Word 2007 is the LibreOffice program. They differ only in interfaces, and the functions are the same. LibreOffice is also a program for .doc files, in which you can create and edit, but only after installing Wine. And it also works in the operating system MacOS.

WordPad

Another option, thanks to which you can open a doc-file - WordPad. You can work with documents of this type only if you have Windows 7 installed.

DocReader

There is another free analogue of Microsoft Word2003, 2007 and other versions, which is also designed for Windows. This program is called DocReader. It has all the functions that Microsoft Word supports. Many will have thoughts like: "Is this a free copy of the Word? Now run it to install!" But do not rush to such a decision. The program is in English, and it often plays against it.

Conclusion

These are, perhaps, the most common programs, thanks to which you can create and / or edit doc-files. There are other text editors, but they are not as popular as those mentioned above.
