Multifunctional devices are complexdigital mechanisms for printing information, obtaining prints of media and their digital copies. The 3 in 1 devices are pretty tightly integrated into modern life due to their convenience and good performance. Naturally, they are susceptible to various breakdowns - a large number of mechanisms and details implies the presence of a variety of malfunctions.

Of course, if you have the necessary spare parts and the correct approach to repairing the MFP, you can cope with the breakdown in most service centers.

Frequent Malfunctioning MFPs

To begin with, consider a few basic problems:

• the device does not turn on;
• the xerox issues a white sheet;
• stopping (jamming) paper inside;
• audible grinding of the print;
• does not work in Xerox mode and scanner;
• the printed image is smeared;
• The printer does not pick up paper;
• I can not install the driver;
• the computer "does not see" the device.

The MFP does not turn on

• remove the print head.

• We check whether the ink is not filled with the contact areas of the carriage. This could be the cause of a short circuit.
• We measure the voltage of the control board, having previously disconnected the connector.
• We disconnect all plugs and loops from the control board, leaving only the control unit cable with the power button and the power supply connector.
• If the device turned on, but displays any errors, then the problem is in one of the modules.
• In turn, we connect all connectors and loops to detect a faulty module.
• When the device does not turn on after connecting the next connector, the defective module that is connected last is determined.
• More often than others, a short circuit is detected in the carriage moving or paper transport engines.

After the defective part, mechanism or module is determined, we perform a replacement or repair of the defect.

Xerox gives out a white sheet

Consider the repair of the HP LJ M1132 MFP, which when copying and scanning gives blank sheets.

First, start the copy mode with openthe cover of the scanner. When the ruler of the scanner reaches approximately the middle of the glass, remove the power cord from the connector. After stopping the line, wait 5-7 seconds and connect the power back to the device. When the ruler returns to the home position, put the sheet on the tablet and start the Xerox mode. Paper jam

It is necessary to disassemble the device and carefullyinspect the sensors. We first examine the part, which is located below, for the presence of malfunctions. When inspecting two sensors that are in the stove, a flattened spring of the right sensor was detected.

Since this problem may occur in any jam sensor - inspect them all, check the fasteners and the presence of springs.

Consider the repair of the Samsung SCX-4500 MFP, when a loud crackling and screeching sound is heard when turning on the network.

First you need to exclude the option of wedging the cartridge. For this we remove it and check the operation of the device. The crack did not disappear.

Most likely, the problem lies in the stove. Disconnect the power supply from the device and disassemble it to remove the part. A malfunction was discovered - the fusing unit on the stove, gear wheels and pinion gears developed their life. It is necessary to replace them.

The printer does not grab or feed paper

How to repair HP LaserJet Pro MFPsM1536dnf, which does not feed the loaded paper, and a message appears on the control panel about the absence of paper? The problem can be in the paper pickup roller. But in some cases, the problem can be solved by resetting the device settings.

To do this, on the back of the networkRemove the power cable from the socket. Then take the cable out of the socket. We are waiting for 15 seconds. Reconnect the cable to the power source and to the device. Push the power button. Load several sheets into the paper feed tray until it stops. We try to print the page directly from the control panel to see if the problem is fixed.

If the problem persists, then the next step is to clean the clips. They are contaminated by the printer due to the accumulation of paper dust, fibers and other debris. To carry out the cleaning you will need:

• a piece of lint-free cloth;
• cotton buds;
• Clean water (distilled or bottled).

We turn off the device from the network. We take out the cartridge and wipe the visible rollers with a slightly dampened cloth. We remove dirt and debris from the entire surface of the rollers.

Check the status of the device's supply protection. With a slightly moist cotton swab, we clean it.

In the event that the actions with cleaning and resetting the settings have not fixed the malfunction, we are replacing the rollers.
