The new "king" of domestic SUVsclaims caused less. But they were, and for the most part were aimed at the well-known and quite obsolete engine of the Zavolzhsky Engine Plant Model 40906. Yes, the motor pulls. Yes, quite good at the bottom. But it's beyond his power to compete with the new Chinese, Korean engines. Asians, and Europeans have gone a long way, while UAZ, continuing to overcome the difficult terrain of its crisis, remained in place, and almost did not modernize the engines of its cars. This was an undeniable minus.

However, a little later, an economicaloff-road car UAZ "Patriot" 3163, the fuel consumption of which was not more than 8 liters. At the same time, the car consumed gas and gasoline. Such machines are not widely available, due to the small number of gas filling stations, but to this day the direction is very promising.

New models

Since 2014, car sales have declinedby 10%, which caused a wave of cuts in the factories that produce cars. In 2017-2018, it is planned to downsize (reduce volume, but keep performance) engines and upgrade them, which is designed to reduce the amount of fuel consumed and make the operation of cars more profitable.

Thus, UAZ plans to regain its place in the market and knock out a niche in compact crossovers of Korean and French production.
