The multi-purpose KamAZ-5350

To ensure the replacement of previously releasedall-wheel drive, the enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny started development of three samples, united in the Mustang family - KamAZ-4550, KamAZ-5350 and KamAZ-6350. According to the tactical and technical task, the main tasks were: delivery of people and cargo, towing trailers with a weight of 6-12 tons on any roads and landscapes, at ambient temperatures in a clear range of + 40 / -40 ° C, with the possibility of operation in high-altitude areas (up to 4,500 meters). To reduce operating costs, the unification of the constituent elements of the created samples was to be: intra-group - 85%, with the technique used by the national economy - 100%.

Brief description of the possibilities of vehicles

Carried in the car KamAZ-5350 technicalcharacteristics ensure its operation in almost any area. It retained positively self-assembled units and units used on previous models, new ones were introduced, designed taking into account the accumulated experience and results of studying cars of other manufacturers. The mobility of the KamAZ-5350 in difficult road conditions and for providing evacuation measures is also provided by an installed mechanical winch with a pulling force of 7.5-8.0 tons. In addition, the production association "Nizhnekamskshina" developed radial tires 425/85 R21, allowing to change the working pressure in them, which provides additional support when moving through weak soil and snow.

KamAZ-5350 is equipped with a multi-fuel diesel engine,which has 360 horsepower, equipped with a turbocharger, pre-heater provides a guarantee of start-up at significant temperatures (up to -50 ° C), single-disk improved clutch, eight-speed gearbox and transfer case, reinforced cardan shafts with end splines, two-kilowatt generator, reactive booms. The chassis of the car after the made modification allows to use fitting fixtures at use of replaceable container bodies. In addition, it was included in the upgrade upgraded cabin, which has an improved interior and increased height of the roof.

Family replenishment

In 2007 the Mustang family was replenished with threemodels of non-wheel drive cars with the formula 6x4. Now it included saddle (KamAZ-53502) and onboard tractors (KamAZ-53503), as well as dump trucks (KamAZ-53505).

Based on the results of research and developmentand test works, it can be concluded that it was possible to reduce the maintenance costs (the frequency of 15,000 km) and provide an increase in the warranty mileage to 45,000 kilometers, as well as reduce fuel consumption costs by 15-20 percent compared to previously released models.
