The same device can be found on the commercially available models VAZ-2105 and VAZ-2104 with a carburetor injection system.

The maximum recoil current for such an installationis 55 amps. But in recent years, cars with an injector injection system have become widespread. Its use implies a large current consumption, therefore it is necessary to use a generator with a high current to ensure a normal level of charge and power for all consumers.

Injection motors

Injector motors use generatorinstallations 5142.3771 or the like. They have increased energy, the maximum current is about 80-90 A, it all depends on the design variant. Cars of the seventh series and similar models are good in that they are like a designer. They can install almost any generator, similar in design with the "native".

For tuning use the installation with a recoil current100 amperes and above. But the use of such devices is justified only on the condition that many powerful consumers are connected to electrical equipment. Regardless of the design, generators produce alternating current, a voltage regulator, a capacitor and a diode block are installed in the casing.

Cars up to 1986 of release

Used in the cars generator G-222. The connection scheme of VAZ-2107 is almost the same as on later models. But there are features, among the main ones - there is a test lamp showing the charging of the battery. And it worked with the help of an electromagnetic relay.

When the ignition is switched on, the lock comes inpower supply via the dashboard fuse to the electromagnetic battery charge lamp relay and coil contact. The second coil contact is connected to the central wire on the generator (with the connection point of the three windings).

The electromagnetic relay is normally closedcontacts, so when the ignition is switched on, the lamp is on. But as soon as the engine starts to work, the generator generates a current. And through the control lamp coil, a current flows, which causes the armature to attract and unlock the contacts.

At the same time, the power of the incandescent lamp stops,it goes dead. This indicates that the battery is charging in normal mode. Only under the condition that the power of the lamp stops, the excitation winding will be energized and the generator will be able to enter the operating mode.

Cars of the year 1996 and later (carburetor engines)

Cars have improved, and some refinements allow you to immediately kill two birds with one stone - simplify the design and make it easier for the driver.

In fact, the design of the generating set is smallthan differs from those that were installed on carburetor engines. The only difference is the type of excitation and monitoring of serviceability. In the instrument panel is installed not only a test lamp, but also a voltmeter, these two devices allow you to evaluate both the availability and the level of charging. The current flows through the filament of the lamp and is applied to the excitation winding when the motor starts. The connection diagram of the VAZ-2107 generator, regardless of the year of manufacture, implies operation in the following mode:

  1. When the ignition is switched on, the power is supplied to the field winding. A magnetic field arises around the armature.
  2. When the crankshaft rotates, the starter starts to move and the anchor of the generator. With the help of motion and a magnetic field, a potential difference appears at the ends of the stator windings.
  3. From the windings, the voltage (alternating, three-phase) goes to the rectifier unit, and from it to the "30" terminal of the generator.
  4. Output "30" is connected to the battery (positive terminal). Consequently, the entire electrical system is powered and the battery is charged.

At the same time, the battery and the generator G221A operate in parallel. The connection scheme of VAZ-2107 with carburetor and injector motors is almost identical, only small features are available.

If there is a lamp for monitoring, thenthrough it will flow current, regardless of whether the generator or battery power supply system, they work in pairs. But if a break occurs in the excitation winding, the brushes are erased, then the lamp will not go out, as the generator will not be able to reach normal operating conditions and provide power to all consumers. The VAZ-2107 generator has no more features.

Almost the same applies to all cars(not only the production of AvtoVAZ, but also of other factories). The power supply circuit of the excitation winding is standard, the laws of electrodynamics are the same everywhere. Without feeding the rotor winding, it will not be possible to remove the stator voltage from the terminals, since there will be no rotating magnetic field.
