In the device of any car there is aelement as a clutch. This unit is designed to transfer torque from the flywheel of the engine to the gearbox. To enable these two units (motor and transmission) to engage, a special clutch disc is used. VAZ-2106 is equipped with a friction element. It's a single-disk drive. Also in work the main and working cylinder of coupling is involved. VAZ-2106 has a fairly simple device. However, sometimes there are problems. So, when used by owners, the VAZ-2106 clutch is periodically adjusted. Photo and description of the process - later in this article.
Beginners often ask themselves: When is the VAZ-2106 clutch adjusted? The clutch drive is arranged in such a way that there is a free wheel on the pedal. So, in norm it makes from 0,4 to 2 millimeters. If there is a large play of the pedal and noticeable "dips", then the settings of the element have lost. The car needs a repeated adjustment of the clutch. VAZ-2106 will not work correctly. At люфте there is no integration of the mechanism in working joint with a check point. Therefore, as soon as the pedal starts to fail, you need to re-set the free stroke.
Pay attention to the clutch slave cylinder. VAZ-2106 is completed by them near the transmission. The element should not contain traces of fluid flow. If the anther is damaged or the connection is leaking, the mechanism must be replaced.
In this case, we will expose the gap fromcar interior, directly on the pedal itself. A special bracket will be installed here. On the latter there is a pusher of the master cylinder of coupling and a nut. Thanks to them and the necessary clearance between the two elements (pusher and clutch cylinder) is exposed.
Note that from the cabin you can set only the initial pedal stroke. If the gap corresponds to two or less millimeters, we proceed to set the backlash from below the car.
Now we need to set the fork pusher stroke. It is adjustable up to 5 millimeters. Use a wrench to hold the travel stop. We loosen the locknut for two turns. Then rotate the spanner with a wrench in the direction of the bracket. We select the necessary clearance by a selective way. After this, again, hold the stop and tighten the lock nut back. We take the ruler in hand and measure the pedal travel gap. To do this, press the hand on the clutch pedal until there is no apparent resistance. Measure how far the fork is moved. If necessary, put the gap again.
Adjust the optimal stroke of the pedal by adjusting not only the main clutch, but also the clutch slave cylinder.
Go to the very setting of the working cylinder. Since the element is under the bottom, it may have traces of dirt and corrosion. To unscrew the desired nut, use VD-40 or its analog from the manufacturer "Mannol". You need to unscrew two keys.
Sometimes the exposure can not be achievedthe desired result. In this case, only the replacement of the clutch on the VAZ-2106 will help. Without removing the box, this is quite possible. So, where do the work begin? First unscrew the bolts of the cardan drive and the shaft itself. Then disconnect the contacts from the reverse indication sensor. Twist the clutch cover bolts. Dismantle the traverse of the bottom. With the thirteen key, unscrew the cushion mounting cushion nuts. The transmission itself is pushed aside, opposite to the engine, with the help of the mount. As a result, the box should lie on the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system. To the unit does not sag and does not jump off when replacing the clutch, support it.
At the next stage we have to remove the basketadhesion. To do this, fix the position of the flywheel (you can use the mount) and unscrew the bolts of the basket one by one. You will need a key for thirteen (to speed up the process, use a head with ratchet collar). Gently push the unscrewed basket aside and remove the worn clutch disc. We also need to remove the clutch release bearing of the input shaft and the clutch release fork.
So, we figured out how to set free playpedals and how to replace the clutch elements without removing the box from the machine. As you can see, all operations can be performed manually. The main thing when assembling the clutch is to properly center the disc relative to the flywheel. The setting is performed using a mandrel. The latter must freely enter and exit the bearing.
