Scooters have long been an integral partroad traffic of any country. They are compact, affordable and practically do not require operating costs. This technique is ideal as a vehicle for moving around the city.
On the other hand, trips on mopeds are rather boring.
Scooters almost never develop speedmore than 75 km / h. In addition, this transport looks cheap, many do not like the design of scooters. What can you do if you need a 50-cc bike with a bright appearance and great maximum speed?
For such cases, many manufacturers produce models that can be combined into a separate segment - mini-sportbikes.
What are they? To better understand this issue, we will single out a couple of typical representatives of this class. To be fair, we will consider representatives of different countries: the Italian bike Aprilia RS 50 and the Japanese motorcycle Honda NS 1.
The motorcycle has a sporty body design. Also sportiness is given by a special color design (see the first photo). But this is only appearance. Inside is a miniature 50-cube two-stroke. Its power is only 7 "horses". Nevertheless, the device weighs only 92 kg, which gives the ability to gain speed at 115 km / h even with such a small engine.
The fuel tank is designed for 8 liters of fuel. The base of the motorcycle is 1295 mm, the height of the saddle is 750 mm. The torque is transmitted by chain transmission and a 6-speed transmission.
It is worth noting that there is also a version of the Honda NS 1 with the NSB80 index. The model is equipped with an 80-cc engine with a power of 14 hp. Unfortunately, this modification is only available in Spain.
Now let's move on to the elegant Italian modelAprilia RS 50. The design of the motorcycle undoubtedly emphasizes the impeccable Italian taste. Externally, Aprilia is no different from an expensive sports bike. Honda NS 1 is still a long way off.
As for the engine, here the differences fromthe Japanese colleague practically is not present. The same 50-cc engine and 7 hp. power. The motor is push-pull, cooled by means of a liquid. Standard 6-speed gearbox and chain drive allow the most rational use of the engine.
The weight of the "Italian" is 89 kg. Reduce the weight of the apparatus allowed the use of a diagonal frame made of aluminum alloy.
Such a technical filling allows the RS50accelerate to 112 km / h. It is worth noting that in many countries the speed limiters are installed on the motorcycles of this series, so they turn into mopeds with a maximum speed of 50 km / h.
In addition to safety, Aprilia also cares about the environment. Thanks to the advanced exhaust system, the engine meets the requirements of "Euro 1".
So, let's sum up. The Honda NS 1 motorcycle is a bit faster and quicker than the "Italian", but it has an outdated design. So if you need transport quality and stylish, choose the Aprilia RS 50, if you appreciate the speed and availability, then the best option will be Honda NS 1.
