What is business ethics?

During the existence of mankindcertain rules of behavior, through which people, as social beings, try to establish interpersonal relationships. No matter how ridiculous somebody does not seem to be ethical, without them the world would mired in chaos. And to a greater extent it concerns the norms of business relations. Business area consists of many connections and complex relationships: employer-worker, employee-employee, seller-buyer ... There are many such schemes of communication and different roles that a person performs in society. And the norms of behavior clearly regulate where and what one can say or do without being perceived as a close-up or rude person.

What is business ethics?

The world is developing, new companies are emerging,trade markets are expanding. When it comes to partnership, business ethics comes to the rescue. Cultures of different countries are different, but the rules of behavior in business try to make common. For example, the indestructible creed of any entrepreneur "the customer is always right" is the basis of successful conduct of business. After all, in the conditions of tough competition, it is the rudeness in relation to consumers of goods and services that has negative consequences.

Norms and rules of behavior are gradually changing. If earlier a man had to open a door in front of a woman and let her go forward, then recently, when the ladies became full participants in the sphere of business, it became unnecessary. But, despite the changes, every self-respecting businessman is obliged to keep abreast of ethical norms. And first of all this rule concerns international relations. The higher the level of negotiations, the more serious attention is paid to the study of etiquette. If the rules of conduct in international business can be reduced to several general rules, then the summit meetings are held with strict observance of the ceremonies.

Business relations urge their participants toclarity and brevity, inviolability of the word, literacy of speech, respect for the laws or principles of others, normativity in language and clothing. High level of negotiations requires clear knowledge, for example, the rules of greeting, the order of presentation of participants to each other, the relevance of gifts and souvenirs.

In this case, the business ethics of service relations affect the work of the entire enterprise. For example, the head of the so-called policy of non-interference leads: he thinks only of his own position, not trusting employees, not allowing them to interfere in the affairs of the enterprise. The effectiveness of labor in such a team will be very low, since there is no sense of community of interests. There is another principle of business relations - the team. In this case, the manager will combine the interests of the case in every possible way with the needs of the concrete person, will not be too harsh or too lenient. In such a team, any employee will adhere to the ethical standards worked out by the company as clearly as possible. Punctuality, strict implementation of instructions, order in business papers, dress code - all this will be taken into account. The head will not have to blush for his firm either to clients or to partners. The basic concepts of ethics should be known to everyone.

Any person who is not even employed in the fieldbusiness, you need to know what rules business ethics contains. Do I need to knock on the door when I go to a public institution, how to call a friend "you" or "you", coming to work for him, who, having a good time, should give a hand, and for whom just a verbal greeting is enough. Ignorance of such rules sometimes makes a person narrow-minded and ridiculous, and in certain cases even hinders the labor activity of other participants in business relations.
