The seller is one of the oldest professions. Trade at all stages of the development of society was of great importance: with the help of it, people satisfied the needs for services and goods. The decision to create a professional holiday was approved in the Soviet Union. The exact number was not determined: Day of commerce was celebrated on the fourth Sunday of the second summer month. In 1988, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the solemn date was postponed to the third Sunday of the first spring month, however many organizations and regional authorities continue to celebrate this holiday in July.
Trade was, is and will be an important industryeconomy. Even in ancient times in all corners of the world they understood its whole essence: they sold goods that were in demand. The seller's profession became popular and widespread after the emergence of market relations.
Initially, an important activity belonged tomen, but over time women took the reins in their own hands. Today in this area you can often meet representatives of the weaker sex: sellers, managers. The profession flourishes, and the perpetrators of the celebration usually receive congratulations in the workplace.
Recently, new forms of trade have appeared: network marketing, direct sales, distribution of products via the Internet and others. Representatives of such companies also celebrate the day of trade. The date is important for thousands of people, because in the industry there are students, graduates of educational institutions, and mature, established personalities.
