We make decorative benches from a log with our own hands

2. Similarly, you can remove the resin with a solution of acetone and caustic soda in a ratio of 20: 4.
3. You can make a mixture of 6 partssoda ash and 5 parts potash, add water to a creamy consistency. This mixture needs to cover the wood in several stages. Before each application, the remainder of the solution should be washed off with warm water, and the wood should be wiped with a soft brush.

When making benches from a log with your own handsthe most common tools are used. To get even slices, you will need a two-handed saw or chainsaw, a rasp and sandpaper to smooth the surface. To give the necessary shape, you can use a chisel or chisel.

How to make a bench out of logs

From stumps or trimmings of logs can turn outwonderful seats. To do this, you need to dig them in the ground a little. If desired, in the stump you can hollow out the recess for sitting, and then it will look like a full-fledged chair or a comfortable chair.

You can also make decorative benches fromlogs with their own hands. To do this, it is necessary to put the upper part of the log down to a depth of 1/3 of the thickness. At the same time, 150 cm along the edges should be left untouched. Thus, you will have an excellent bench with armrests, which can be installed on several small logs: they, in turn, will play the role of legs. The log should be installed in pre-hollowed holes and nailed.

If you are interested in making morefunctional bench from the log with your own hands, you can make it with the backrest. To do this, the log must be struck or sawed in half along, set the legs and perform a back from the board, securing it to two vertical posts. For more reliable fastening of the posts in the log, it is necessary to hollow out small grooves.
