How to solder aluminum

Now let's see how to solder aluminum. This is not easy to do, since the oxide film is again formed during the cleaning of the aluminum surface. The presence of such a film reduces the strength of the joint. Therefore, immediately after cleaning the surface of the soldering spot, a passive flux is poured onto the aluminum blank. It can be rosin, glycerin and any of the fatty acids.

Soldering of aluminum is carried out with a powerful soldering iron. If the flux is selected correctly, the aluminum is easily sealed. To its tinned surface without problems, you can solder the copper wire.

There is another way: the surface layer of the aluminum billet is peeled off, smeared with rosin, sprinkled with copper powder. After this operation, the soldering of the parts can be carried out with conventional tin solder.

Not so long ago, plastic pipes were replaced by metal pipes. And how to solder plastic pipes? This is absolutely not difficult to do if there is a necessary tool for welding them.

The nozzles of the required dimensions are attached to the heating apparatus. The regulator exhibits a temperature not higher than 2700 Celsius.

While the nozzles are heated on the welding machine,pipes of the required length are prepared and cut. Burrs and irregularities are necessarily removed, then a mark is placed on the pipe, equal to the depth of the fitting. After reheating, the pipe will go into the fitting for the length measured by you. The surfaces to be welded are degreased. Now it's time to warm up and solder.

How to solder plastic pipes

On a heated nozzle located with oneside of the welding machine is first put on the fitting, since it has thicker walls, and this requires a prolonged heating. The fitting should sit tightly on the nozzle. On the other side of the welding machine, a plastic pipe "sits" on the second nozzle.

The heating time of the pipe and fitting is specified in the instructions to the welding machine. At the time of heating the parts to be joined, try not to turn them, as this can cause compression of the plastic.

The heating time is maintained, then the parts are removed from the nozzles, and the pipe is slowly inserted into the fitting to the mark made earlier. You can not twist the parts to be joined.
