It is very important to remember that before the cold you needto make top dressing. On one square meter of the area in front of a bush of grapes it is necessary to put on five kilograms of compost, adding a pair of glasses of ash and a gram of boric acid. If the soil is excessively acidic, it will be superfluous to carry out unscheduled liming.

At the onset of the first resistant frosts of the vinebend to the ground, and then cover with slate sheets (not metal!). As soon as winter comes into its own (if there is not even snow), they start the second phase, which involves the preparation of grapes for winter in the Urals.
