"Second wind"

Smirnov Ivan calls this group a powerful team. When the young man studied in the 9th grade, the collective performed at a party in the school. The musicians played professionally, Jimmy Hendrix's repertoire sounded. The group included three people: a bass player, a guitarist and a drummer. Their names were Igor Dekterev, Kolya Shiryaev and Maxim Kapitanovsky. The first one played the guitar. And the tool he had a firm reprint of the Stratocaster. After a while, other people recreated the group,but they chose a different direction - instrumental. The participants contacted our hero and were invited to collaborate. The musicians were older than him for several years. The team began to play music in the jazz-rock direction. In particular, their repertoire was the work of Billy Cappam. One day, Alexei Kozlov came to the group's performance. He noted that it is impossible to play studio music at concerts. But the boys enjoyed their creativity.

Then came the time of various Soviet VIA. As a result, the whole underground has come to nothing. This was a correct calculation from an ideological point of view. People began to get used to the then Russian-language stage. Our hero was perplexed how one can sing rock in Russian. Soon the concerts stopped altogether. However, the musician at that time already had three children, and he needed work. As a result, he became a member of the collective "Blue Guitars". He worked in this structure for about a year and cherished the hope of becoming a member of the Arsenal group. The musician's dream came true.

"Arsenal"

Smirnov Ivan came from the underground to a broadpublic. Kozlov's music was complicated. The notes became solid geometry. Everything was miscalculated. Many played exclusively on notes. Remember this was impossible. Activities in the "Arsenal" has become for our hero a weighty professional practice. Kozlov helped the musician, perhaps, in addition to his will, to determine the option for further development.

Once he asked to prepare a work foracoustic guitar. Our hero admits that his acoustics bore all his life. However, he continued to play by inertia on an electric guitar. As a result, the work was created. He was played in a band, but it gradually fell apart. As a result, our hero began to sing it alone, which became the basis of the future solo project.

At first he worked with Andrei Vinogradov. He played in the Arsenal on the keys, and the musicians for a long time discussed the possibility of creating their own project. As a result, there was a breakthrough. At that moment our hero decided not to reinvent the wheel, but to find his own space and cultivate it. He visited Edinburgh in Scotland at the Fringe festival.
