Biography

Lavrov Oleg Alekseevich was born in the actingfamily in October 1948 in the city of Kimry (Tver region). His creative activity began from an early age. Being a schoolboy, he studied in a drama club, then in the Palace of Culture at a shoe factory.

He studied at the director's faculty inMoscow Institute of Culture. After school Oleg served in the army. Then he worked in the Palace of Culture "40 years of October" in his homeland, then worked for about 5 years in the regional theater of drama in Moscow. At the age of 27, Lavrov Oleg Alekseevich returned to his hometown of Kimry, where he served as an actor in the theater of drama and comedy. In the early 90's he was promoted to chief director, and only after 3 years he became artistic director.

The actor at the age of 30 starred in an episodic role in a comedy film called "Cat in a Sack."

As director O. Lavrov became famous for the productions "Cylinder", "Cherry Orchard", "Moliere". In St. Petersburg, the master's performances produced a furore. And the production of "Bloch" in its time was awarded the award for the best stylistic decision at the All-Russia Theater Festival, which was held in Vologda.

When Lavrov was 48 years old, he wasawarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, and 11 years later, in June 2007, the President of the Russian Federation honored the actor with the honorary title of People's Artist of Russia.
