Alexander Dolsky, biography

Born poet and musician in the city of Yekaterinburg(Sverdlovsk) on June 7, 1938 in the family of an opera singer-tenor and ballerina. Father (Dolsky Alexander Viktorovich) was a soloist of the Sverdlovsk Opera and Ballet Theater, her mother - a graduate of the Leningrad Vaganova School of Choreography.

The musical talent of Sasha was manifested in the earlychildhood, he easily remembered the melody, then interpreted the compositions in his own way. At the age of ten he came on stage, began to perform in the theater choir of boys. Participated in the musical accompaniment of opera performances "Carmen" and "Queen of Spades".

In my school years I learned how to play on manytools, but gave preference to the guitar. In 1949 the young Alexander Dolsky wrote his first song. At that time, music was his hobby, and the future poet began his working career in the repair shop of the Uralelectroapparat factory, where he worked as a toolmaker for two years (1956-1958).

Then twenty-year-old Alexander Dolsky entered the Sverdlovsk Polytechnic Institute for the Faculty of Construction. At the end of the course he became a graduate student of the engineering and economic department.

Musical education

Scientific activity Alexander Dolskychose not to engage, began to take lessons in guitar class from the teacher of the stringed instruments L. Voinov. The training was difficult, the teacher proved to be extremely demanding and uncompromising. Dolsky spent eight hours a day mastering the technique of the game.

In 1970, the bard moved to Leningrad and settled himselfto work in town planning research institute, as a singer and songwriter went on short tours and met with his listeners. In 1979, Dolsky finally made a choice in favor of the song and music genre. In the same year, he was invited to work in his "Theater of Miniatures" Arkady Raikin.

Recognition and popularity

In 1980, in the life of Alexander Dolskythere are two important events: it is accepted as a member of the Writers' Union, the first record entitled "Star in the palm of your hand" is released. A few years later, the bard begins to travel with concerts in Western Europe and the United States.

Dolsky is a laureate of the Okudzhava literary state award. Currently, he is an active member of the Writers' Union of Russia, he is a member of the editorial board of the Metropol Almanac.

Personal life

Dolsky Alexander is married. His wife's name is Dolsky Nadezhda Alexandrovna. There are three adult sons: Peter, Alexander and Paul. Currently, the family lives in St. Petersburg.

The poet is fond of painting. From time to time in the city there are exhibitions where art canvases written by his hand are demonstrated. The paintings look as if they were made by a professional artist.
