The first volume of the magazine was published in 1918. PP Lazarev is considered the creator, who was later appointed editor-in-chief. Before the new 2009, Keldysh Leonid Veniaminovich, Academician, was elected editor-in-chief. At the end of 2016, he was no more. Temporary duties of the editor-in-chief are performed by VA Rubakov, acting academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
