Modern form of government

Throughout the history of human developmentthe question of which form of government was most effective remained a topical issue. Discussions on this matter were conducted two thousand years ago in Ancient Rome. They continue in modern China and - especially acute - in the Russian Federation. A well-known prominent political and statesman Winston Churchill once said that democracy is considered the most acceptable form of government. At the same time, he stressed that she has certain shortcomings. There is no doubt that democratic mechanisms in the state structure play an important role.

Form of government
If we rely on the definition givenin dictionaries and encyclopedias, the form of the state structure determines who owns the power, and also the ways in which this power is exercised. The first and oldest form is a monarchy, or the power of one person, which is inherited. The whole life of the population in such a state is regulated by the will of the monarch. Key moments in the daily life of subjects are explained and fixed by its verdicts. He alone establishes the rules for the conduct of his subjects in various state and conflict situations.

Federal form of government
The form of government can beunitary, federative and confederal. The Kingdom of Sweden is considered a unitary state. The main difference between these countries is that they are divided into equal areas, or gubernias (cantons). The federal form of state structure existed also in the Russian Empire until 1917. Within its borders, people living in Poland had both Russian citizenship and Polish citizenship. A similar situation developed in the management of the territory on which Finland is located.

Form of the state structure of the USA
Confederate device is rare. As an example, we can cite all the well-known state of Switzerland at the stage of its development in the XIX century. Around the same period, in the territory of the present United States of America, there was a confederal union of the Southern States. At present, the form of the US state system is federal. Some experts and analysts prefer to refer to this country as the "United States of America". And this definition does not contradict the actual state of affairs. Each state or, if you like, the state, has its own constitution, legislative and executive structures.

In this regard, it should be noted that the US is veryan interesting education in terms of government. Although, for example, the form of the state structure of Great Britain also has its own peculiarities, the same can be said about Russia. Many domestic public and political figures are interested in the question of what function in the management of the state is carried out by the Federation Council of the State Assembly of the Russian Federation. Discussions on this topic are confirmed by the fact that the structure of any state tends to change and modernize. In contrast, a state such as the Soviet Union was not renewable, and was simply destroyed.
