Work on the creation of a new sports complex on theDacia prospect began in 2004. The project of the future facility was developed by the staff of the Ceproserving Institute. The bulk of the work was undertaken by Inconex Com. Other companies, including Moldovan ones, also took part in the construction.
The construction of the sports complex was delayed by 27months. During the construction process, many problems arose which it was not so easy to solve. The marriage of Moldovans' experience in implementing such large-scale projects was also affected.
Nevertheless, the sports arena "Zimbru" was still built. At the end of May 2006, its inauguration took place.
In the construction and development of the ChisinauThe stadium was actively participated by foreign specialists. So, the grassy lawn on the field was laid by the well-known Swiss company Matomatic. The projectors for lighting the arena were made at the German Siteco plant, and Ukrainian specialists were engaged in the production of video tables.
