Family in modern society

Family and marriage in modern society are notsuch valuable concepts as before. But this does not mean that they are absolutely devalued, or that diminishing them as a value is justified. It's not a secret for anyone that every year the number of divorces in urbanized cities is growing, and on this basis it can be assumed that our civilization has reached the stage where marriage in the notion of many is not a goal but a means. Since goals are a more stable concept that is rarely subject to change, and funds are, on the contrary, more convenient to change depending on the circumstances, then sad statistics are emerging: one marriage can be easily replaced by another, the morality of "irreplaceable people is not" also in this category, and the fact that children continue to grow up without a father or mother is, unfortunately, the norm of our time.

In order to clarify the situation and draw the right conclusions, we will determine the main functions of the family in the present.

Family in modern society and reproductive function

The essence of this function is the continuation of the genus. For today in the developed countries there is a demographic problem. It is strong marriage ties that can solve it when children are born in a family with officially registered relationships. However, not all are able to support a large number of children, which is why financial assistance programs are implemented for mothers with many children and fathers. Due to sharp changes in the labor market, in the production and economic spheres, the income level of many citizens is decreasing, which becomes an obstacle to the realization of full-fledged family relations. Often, women must work on a par with men, which leads to a decline in fertility and the disintegration of marriage bonds. Most often, the problems of the family in modern society are caused precisely by the lack of the opportunity to have children (for financial reasons or because of health problems) or unwillingness of them, which is based on psychological fears.

Also interferes with the implementation of reproductivethe functions of the family are early marriages in which the newlyweds themselves themselves to some extent need support and protection as well as children. The problems faced by modern youth are already quite complex, and when the young family faces additional ones, in the form of doing business and solving financial problems, then it certainly provokes divorce if people are not satisfied with the role of dependents or if it is for them simply unacceptable.

Also, the problem of reproductive function is the issue of extramarital children, many of whom are sent to their babies because their mothers are incapable of supporting them themselves.

Family in modern society and educational function

The family in an ideal understanding is associated withstability. That is why it is (again, ideally) the guarantor of ensuring a good offspring, which grows in good conditions under the supervision and protection of parents. With the advent of the state system, the legislative framework also includes a number of rights and duties devoted to marriage, which provide a decent existence for children born in the family.

If people constantly changed their marital partners, then the children born in these relationships would be much harder to get stronger because of the lack of support from one of the parents. Unfortunately, in modern society this phenomenon occurs more often.

The realization of the educational function is complicatedthe fact that in most modern families, partners are generally equal, but the woman has more responsibilities because of the need to earn money and simultaneously bring up children along with household management.

Even worse, when children are left to themselves because of the constant employment of parents.

Family in modern society and recovery function

Many experts are of the opinion, that marriage is half the success of a career. Since a person is a social being and he needs to share his experiences, ask for advice, it means that it is very important when there are those who are ready to support in a difficult moment and who have established trust with others.

Family in modern society, fortunately, still fully fulfills this function in most cases. Few people agree to marry someone he does not trust or does not need at all.

And yet, there are several difficulties with whichfamilies face this function. They are connected with the general culture of family relations, which is more difficult to form than the prevalent in society low values, encouraging a constant change of partners, proclaiming money as the main value of life, which affects both women who have fallen into feminism, and men who fear that from them the partner needs only this "main" value. Surely in this case, humanity and developed morality can make a strong, united group and a worthy unit of society from the family without abandoned children and single mothers.
