Minsk Ice Palace on Pritytsky - the largest sports complex in Belarus

One of the largest sports complexes in theMinsk and Belarus in general is the Minsk Ice Palace on Pritytsky, 27. During its existence it has become a real cultural center of the Belarusian capital.

History

The ice palace at Pritytsky was opened in February1999. Its official name is the Cultural and Sports Unitary Enterprise "Minsk Ice Palace of Sports". Initially, the construction of the sports complex was financed by the hockey club "Tiwali", but after reducing the funds the facility was completed by the state for the purpose of sports and cultural development of the young inhabitants of Minsk.

His arena for a long time was the officialhome arena "Keramin" - local hockey club. In 2004, the junior world championship matches took place here among the divisions. In 2012-2013 in the Ice Palace on Pritytsky the matches of the team "Youth-Minsk" in the Higher Hockey League were held. After some time the club moved to the arena of another Minsk sports complex - "Chizhovka".

The main task of the sports complex is to holdcompetitions in ice hockey, short track, figure skating and other ice sports. However, at the present time there are also competitions in gymnastics, weightlifting, boxing, martial arts and other sports. The stands of the Ice Palace can simultaneously accommodate up to two thousand spectators.

The hockey box can be transformed into ascene, so the Ice Palace can hold concerts (for example, in October 2007, the Scottish rock band Nazareth performed here) and other events.

The hall is open from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 21:00, and also on Friday from 10:00 to 19:00. One-time visit lasts for 1.5 hours costs 6 rubles, and subscription for 8 and 12 visits per month - 46 and 68 rubles.

Weekly on Friday and Saturday from 20:00 to 00:00 in the Ice Palace are held "Evenings of rest" with music and a bar. There is an opportunity to rent for corporate holidays.

Rink

If in the Minsk Ice Palace Pritytsky does notany competitions, performances and other sporting events are held, the ice is free and is used as a public ice rink for the citizens of the city. The ice thickness is 5 cm, and the ice rink area is almost 2000 square meters.

A clear schedule of the ice rink in the Ice Palace onPritytsky is absent. Usually mass rides are held in the afternoon, at 18-19 hours, the exact time is constantly changing. However, there are days when the site is closed due to technical work or for other reasons. One skating session (time, as on mostskating rinks, 45 minutes) costs 4 rubles for adults and 2.5 rubles for children. Rent skates 3.5 rubles, as a deposit you need to leave a passport or other identification card with a photo. 15 minutes of lessons with the coach will cost five rubles.

Also, there is an opportunity to purchase a subscription, which includes ten visits to the rink. The price for adults is 33.50 rubles, for children - 24 rubles.

In addition to rolling, the skating rink provides repair and sharpening services for hockey and figure skates, replacing a leather palm with hockey gloves.

How to get there

It is very convenient to get to the Ice Palace - near the Pushkinskaya and Sportivnaya metro stations (within 1 km), a little further - Molodezhnaya and Grushevka (2-3 km).
