How to make the right choice and happily get out of the mental impasse

There are people who are afraid of somethingto choose. When they have several options for answering a question, even if it's quite simple - for example, which cheese to buy, "Dutch" or "Russian", they begin to be nervous and nostalgically remember the times of the Soviet deficit, when the answer to the painful dilemma was the following: "The one that is in the store." Surely you saw such people in the supermarket: there are two kinds of goods in hand, flour on the face, and the question in the eyes of how to make the right choice? And these people are sorry. Not so much because they can make the wrong decision, but because of the fact that whatever purchase they make, they will still leave the store in a bad mood. They will doubt for a long time that having bought "Dutch" (or "Russian") cheese, they have lost.

Sometimes, but, more precisely, almost always, weit is necessary to choose between several variants of more complicated tasks than simply buying one of two kinds of cheese. And at stake are more serious things. For example, where to invest money? Do I agree with the proposal to link my fate with this or that applicant for the hand and heart? Do I apply for this job? Or with full work at work to decide what tasks to do, and what to sacrifice? How to make the right choice in this situation?

Let us analyze the very mechanism of the agonizingthinking process, when we need to stop at something, and refuse something. Us, firstly, the alarm is worried that what we're stopping at will disappoint us in the end. At the same time, greed (albeit still unconscious) is pressing: after all, the second option is also welcome, we already consider it "our own", and now we must tear it from the heart! We hesitate and envy those who make the right choice - not a problem. And meanwhile, our hesitation before making an important decision is quite normal. Before people who came to the store, quickly grabbed the goods and rushed with him to the checkout, in fact, the choice is not worth it: they either firmly know what they came for or simply obeyed the momentary impulse "I want this."

There are some simple techniques that will helpDetermine how to make the right choice. The first one is analytical. Let's put up with the fact that we are not soothsayers (otherwise we would always buy a winning lottery ticket and earn a fortune on the sweepstakes). But "buying a cat in a poke" is also not worth it. Identify the criteria that are inherent in both options. For example, we have this option: two pairs of boots. We make a sign in the mind (it is possible and on paper), where in two columns there will be variant A and variant B, and in the columns such criteria: suitable size, pleasant color, fashionable style, combined with other parts of the wardrobe already available, price. Put the "tick" for options A and B. Which product will pick up more "ticks", and take it.

If you are dealing with more complex matter, than boots, try to find more information about the two options in order to calculate possible risks and make the right choice. Do not hesitate to ask advice from relatives, search for more information on the Internet. If you have to prioritize your work, think: what complications in the future will entail that you do not perform this or that task? Perhaps the failure of these cases will make irrelevant exactly what you decided to undertake?

Another way of making the right choice,is the following of your intuition. No wonder the people's wisdom says: "The morning is wiser than the evening". Get distracted, do something else. The decision will ripen in you by itself. If your intuition is taciturn, you will remain in the stupor the next morning, try to talk it out. Throw a coin in the air, guessing that if the eagle is a variant of A, and if the torso is B. It does not mean that you have to rely on the blind drop of the coin. Sensitively analyze your emotional state, no matter what side the coin has fallen. Joy? Annoyance? Listen to this inner voice, and whatever you choose, you will be satisfied.
