Cardiomagnet - instructions for use.

Dosage form

The medicine "Cardiomagnol" is supplied in tablets of two kinds - the first in the form of the heart, the second ones are oval in shape. All tablets are white.

Composition:

Active substance:

  • Magnesium hydroxide - 75/150 mg (in 1 tablet, respectively)
  • Acetylsalicylic acid - 15/30 mg (in 1 tablet, respectively)

Excipients:

  • Hypromellose
  • Corn starch
  • Magnesium stearate
  • Potato starch
  • Microcrystalline cellulose
  • Talc

pharmachologic effect

The drug "Cardiomagnum" is an NSAID andantiaggregant. The mechanism of action of the drug is as follows: acetylsalicylic acid confidently and irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes, after which the synthesis of thromboxane A2 is interrupted, and platelet aggregation is also inhibited. In addition, it is believed that acetylsalicylic acid has other mechanisms of action on platelet aggregation, which allows to significantly expand the area for the use of this drug. Acetylsalicylic acid, in addition, has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.

Magnesium hydroxide is able to protect the gastrointestinal mucosa from the harmful effects of acetylsalicylic acid.

Indications for the use of the medicine "Cardiomagnum"

The instruction says that the cardiomagnet should be taken only after consulting a doctor.

  • For the prevention of CVD and OCH, in the presence of risk factors
  • To prevent recurrence of myocardial infarction
  • To prevent recurrence of blood vessel thrombosis
  • To prevent the onset of thromboembolism after surgery
  • For the treatment of unstable angina

  • Drowsiness

Contraindications of the drug "Cardiomagnum"

The instruction includes the following types of contraindications:

Drug interaction of the drug "Cardiomagnum"

The instruction says that a combination of anticoagulants, antiplatelet drugs and thrombolytics with acetylsalicylic acid can cause an increased number of bleeding.

Quite a lot of different complications from the hematopoiesis can cause a combination of methotrexate with acetylsalicylic acid.

The combination of ibuprofen and acetylsalicylic acid worsens the positive effect of the latter on life expectancy.

The combination of alcohol and acetylsalicylic acid can lead to an increased risk of gastric bleeding.
