Delusion is the knowledge of a person who does not really correspond to reality, but is mistaken for the truth.

The concept of delusion is similar in meaning to lies. Many philosophers consider these definitions synonymous and put in one row. Some believe that delusion ischance. However, history shows that it is only a payment for the fact that a person wants to know more than he can, but he is looking for the truth. As Goethe said, people who seek are forced to wander. Science defines this concept in the form of false theories, which are subsequently refuted when enough evidence is obtained. This was the case, for example, with the Newtonian interpretation of time and space, or with the geocentric theory that Ptolemy put forward. The theory of delusions says that this phenomenon has an "earthly" basis, that is, a real source. For example, even images from fairy tales can be considered true, but only in the imagination of those who created them. In any fiction it is easy to find the threads of reality that are woven by the power of imagination. However, in general, such samples can not be considered true.

Sometimes the source of error may be an error,associated with the transition from knowledge at the level of the senses to a rational approach. Also, the misconception arises from the incorrect extrapolation of the experience of other people without taking into account the specific circumstances of the problem situation. Therefore, we can conclude that this phenomenon has its own epistemological, psychological and social grounds.

Misconception can be considered normal andan integral element of the search for truth. This, of course, undesirable, but well-founded sacrifices for the comprehension of the truth. While one can discover the truth, one hundred will be in error.
